Brighton and Hove Albion host Premier League champions Liverpool at the Amex Stadium in Saturday’s early kick-off.
Both clubs will be looking to continue their latest good form in the league but Liverpool will be sure looking for easy three points.
Brighton vs Liverpool Match Preview:
The Reds were magnificent in their last league outing with a dominant victory over previous table-toppers Leicester City at Anfield.
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are level on points at the top of the Premier League table so the Reds will be looking for a win to put pressure on Spurs who face Chelsea this weekend.
Brighton’s home record is nothing to brag about with the Seagulls without a win in their last eight league games at the Amex and having only won two of their last 17, a run which now stretches back more than a year. Thye now sits at 16th position in the league table with 9 points from 9 league fixtures.
Brighton have never won a top-flight home game against Liverpool, with their only home victory over Liverpool in any division coming in a Second Division match in January 1961.

Liverpool Premier League form: L-D-W-W-D-W
Liverpool have been boosted by the return of Jordan Henderson to training. The Reds captain gives Jurgen Klopp some positive news with the club in the midst of an injury crisis.
Klopp still remains without a number of key players, although they were boosted by the returns of Mohamed Salah and Rhys Williams against Atalanta BC.
As for the home side Brighton, Tariq Lamptey is suspended following his red card against Aston Villa while a groin issue could stop Adam Lallana from facing his old club.
Leandro Trossard is now back available, while Solly March, Davy Propper, and Aaron Connolly are also expected to be passed fit for Saturday’s match.
Predicted lineups and Match Prediction:
Brighton: Ryan; White, Dunk, Webster; Veltman, Bissouma, Gross, March; Trossard; Welbeck, Maupay
Liverpool possible starting lineup: Alisson; Williams, Matip, Fabinho, Robertson; Milner, Wijnaldum; Salah, Firmino, Mane; Jota
Match Prediction: Brighton 1 – 2 Liverpool
Though Brighton have struggled at the back, they have given some big teams a run for their money this season. But the first win since 1961 will be a little too much to expect.
Liverpool will have to prove that the loss against Atalanta BC was just a blip and the injury crisis has not affected them.
