Hyderabad FC 1-0 Bengaluru FC: The Game

Hyderabad FC started the match on the front foot. The first 5 minutes were played in the BFC half with BFC posing no real threat. Their pressure was rewarded with a goal in the 7th minute. Left-back Akash Mishra caused mayhem on the wing and dribbled past his man with ease. He squared off the ball to Ogbeche whose strike took a deflection and flew into the bottom left corner.

Hyderabad continued to pile pressure through duo Mishra and Ogbeche but Gurpreet Sandhu was up to the task this time. Ogebeche continued to pull the strings after putting Javier Siverio on goal 31 minutes in. However, the latter shot’s was dragged wide, failing to trouble the keeper. BFC struggled to find rhythm and build up play. Hyderabad headed down the tunnel with a goal to their name.

Bengaluru began the second period on a brighter note. Their first chance of the match fell to man-in-form Cleiton Silva. His attempted cross troubled Kattimani(GK) who tipped the ball over the ball. Silva continued to threaten HFC’s clean sheet. He combined with Jayesh Rane and Bruno in the 56th minute to test the goalkeeper again. However, his shot failed to draw a reaction from the keeper as Kattimani made an easy save. Silva came close once more 61 minutes in when his strike was inches away from the target.

Kattimani continued to impress in goal as he made a crucial save in the 90th minute to deny Bengaluru an equalizer. Bengaluru FC managed to claw their way back into the game but could not find the net in time.
