Everton surprised Chelsea with a 1-0 win at home in the Premier League, an unbeaten run of the London club comes to an end.

The Toffees have won their third home match in a row against the Blues from London.

However, the victory resulted in a big blow for title challenge for Frank Lampard’s young guns. With the win, Everton moved upto 7th position and Chelsea remain at 3rd place in the Premier League table.

Everton :

Jordan Pickford (8/10) – He was successful in turning away a free-kick by Chelsea. He clearly kept the London players at bay. He is surely the Man of the Match for this crucial fixture.

Mason Holgate (7.2/10) – He was not playing in his usual position. However, the 24-year old centre-back was really impressive in defensive duties.

Yerry Mina (7.3/10) – Wasted some opportunities upfront but was pretty good in defense.

Michael Keane (7.2/10) – The 27-year-old had the most interceptions in the match and was looking rock-solid in the defense.

Ben Godfrey (7.4/10) – Another player not occasionally a full back, but still was confident in defence.

Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.3/10) – A well-taken penalty ensured the win for the Toffees.

Allan (7/10) – The midfielder was really controlling the match as he led some good attacks and didn’t allow the Blues to attack.

Abdoulaye Doucoure (6.5/10) – He retained the ball at times and also helped in creating chances.

Alex Iwobi couldn’t contribute much but Dominic Calvert-Lewin helped in gifting a penalty to Everton. However, Richarlison (6.9/10) too had tested Mendy multiple times.

Chelsea :

Edouard Mendy (7.4/10) – He was making some crucial saves against Richarlison but could not stop conceding a penalty.

Reece James (7/10) – He had two shots on target and was wondering to find the back of the net.

Thiago Silva (7.2/10) – He was looking steady in the defence and won many aerial duels with Calvert-Lewin.

Kurt Zouma (7.5/10) – He was well with defensive and also offensive as he threatened Pickford with a well-taken shot.

Ben Chilwell (6.7/10) – He wasn’t having his best game as he failed to create some good chances forward.

N’Golo Kante (7/10) – He was enjoying an all-round performance but could not create some brilliant key passes.

Mason Mount and Mateo Kovacic weren’t having a good game as they both couldn’t find any shots on target.

The forwards Olivier Giroud, Kai Havertz, and Timo Werner weren’t good enough to find some good goals.
