With the win, Thomas Tuchel’s side are currently sitting at 5th place in the standings.

Let’s have a look about the player ratings of the London side!

Sheffield United 1-2 Chelsea: Jorginho and Mount to the rescue

Edouard Mendy (6/10) – Not one of the good matches for him as he failed to keep a clean sheet. However, some of his brilliant saves kept the opponents at bay.

Cesar Azpilicueta (5.5/10) – The defence was tested today and he was active in leading his team from the behind.

Andreas Christensen (6/10) – He did put on a good performance replacing the injured veteran defender Thiago Silva.

Antonio Rudiger (5/10) – Rudiger was at fault conceding a goal in a difficult moment. Instead, he should have cleared that ball.

Reece James (6/10) – James was focused more in the offensive department.

Ben Chilwell (4.5/10) – Poor defensive display from him. He even conceded a penalty. However, the opponent player was offside.

Jorginho (7.5/10) – He proved it right once again that he’s the best and reliable penalty taker for the Blues. Also, he was a key figure in the attack area for Chelsea.

Mateo Kovacic (7/10) – He is becoming a real threat for the opponent defence as he provided some wonderful through balls and passes. Thus, he has improved a lot now under Tuchel.

Mason Mount (7/10) – Mount has been clinical in the match and scored a brilliant goal just 2 minutes from regular 45 minutes.

Timo Werner (7.5/10) – Came almost close in scoring a much-needed goal but was successful in winning a penalty and providing a brilliant assist. He deserves to be the Man of the Match.

Olivier Giroud (6/10) – A quiet performance from the veteran striker.

Substitutes Callum Hudson-Odoi and Marcos Alonso should have been the starters as they came as late as 62th minute. Their absence really was showing symptoms of lacking the speed and confidence.
