Serie A 2022/23. What to expect?

Jose Mourinho

Serie A 2022/23 has kicked off and the title contenders have been off to a flyer. Inter Milan and AC Milan will once again battle it out for the Italian Championship. Juventus will be wanting to make more impact than just finishing top 4 in Serie A. Roma under Mourinho will be a team to look out for after the summer they have had. It is promised to be another blockbuster Serie A season where teams finishing equal on points on top will face off in a playoff match.

AC Milan look set to defend their Serie A title. The squad looks a lot more complete, with the addition of Charles de Ketelaere and Divock Origi. Milan beat their capital rivals last season by 3 points. But this season Inter Milan also looks more strengthened with signings. Romelu Lukaku is back at Inter which may just tip the odds in their favor. The fierce partnership will surely trouble Serie A defenses and try to bring the championship to Inter.

Juventus have also bolstered their squad with some big signings this summer. Angel Di Maria and Paul Pogba have come in as free agents. Matthijs De Ligt went to Bayern Munich for a big fee. The Bianconeri brought in Bremer and Francesco Gatti in Central defense. Denis Zakaria also will be hoping to make a big impact. Paulo Dybala switched Turin for the Capital city of Rome and will be Mourinho’s number 1 man. But the Old Lady has lost out to Alvaro Morata made them pursue Memphis Depay.

AS Roma to have redemption season in Serie A?

Serie A 22/23 will be a sight to behold. The 38-game season will see many big European clubs battle it out. Jose Mourinho has finally made Roma a team that can at least compete for the top 4 this season. Last season they finished 7th but did manage to get silverware in form of the Conference League. This season, they are much stronger with Dybala and Wijnaldum in their ranks. This season finally looks like a season of redemption for AS Roma and Serie A fans.

It was a long time back when Roma was challenged for the Serie A title. Since then, it has gone all downhill for them. Finally, it looks like they have a good squad capable of achieving things. Tammy Abraham was the top scorer last season and will be hoping to replicate his form. Paulo Dybala will be looking to prove his haters wrong and prove his worth to the coach. This season is going to be a treat!
