The UEFA Champions League draw for the round of 16 was under away on Monday, having the best teams across Europe seal their fate in the upcoming fixtures.

Former UCL champions Bayern Munich will travel to Italy to face Serie A side Lazio, meanwhile English Premier League winners Liverpool, will take over RB Leipzig in one hell of a clash.

Other decadent ties involve Europa League champs Sevilla, to battle against Borussia Dortmund, and UEFA’s most successful side Real Madrid, to duel against budding Italians Atalanta.

However, the fixture is spiced up, as Group G runner-ups Barcelona have found themselves draw against Group H leaders, Paris Saint-Germain.

The Catalan giants, once again, will welcome the Parisian troop at the Camp Nou in February and will travel to the Parc des Princes in March for the second leg.

Previous encounter of Barcelona and PSG

The above draw immediately takes us back to the delightful Wednesday night, where Barcelona thrashed PSG by 6-1 in the knockout stage of the Champions League three years ago.

After suffering an utter defeat in the French capital, the Catalans somehow restored a big win for their team by producing a remarkable comeback.

Sergio Roberto and his brilliant volley in the 90+5’ minute booked a spot for the team in the forthcoming competition.

Further, the Spanish and French giants will give their all ahead of this attractive match in 2021.

Yet having said that, both teams can still move things around — now given that PSG have a tiny crack in their team after Neymar picked up an ankle injury in the 0-1 loss to Olympique Lyonnais. But it is likely that the Brazilian will return to reunite with his former South American chap, Leo Messi.

As for Barcelona, Ronald Koeman and the team can work on overcoming their last clash with Juventus, and focus on their upcoming game against new La Liga leaders, Real Sociedad this Thursday.
