Chelsea already have a well worked plan ready for their latest signing. They completed the signing yesterday in which a young French talent has joined the West London club.
The Blues had a very quiet transfer window in terms of incomings. Many of their stars left the club either on loan or on permanent deal. But, the situation has not been the same in case of signings.
Chelsea did sign a new player with them paying around €15 million for Mathis Amougou. The deal also contains a sell-on clause in which St. Etienne can earn from any future sale of the young superstar.
Amougou can play as both central midfielder and attacking midfielder. He has been with first team since the past season. The 19 year old has played 17 matches this season and has started in 9 of them.
Chelsea have plan ready for Mathis Amougou
The Blues already have a plan ready for the 19 year old star. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea want Amougou to stay with them for the next three months. Later, the player will be sent to Strasbourg to develop into high quality star.
The Blues want the player to understand about Chelsea in the coming months. They plan to develop him under the guidance of top players before sending him to Strasbourg. Strasbourg is owned by Chelsea’s group too and hence they can recall him back whenever they want.
Why Nkunku was unable to depart from West London?
On the other hand, there are reports about why the Nkunku deal failed. The 27 year old was pushing for a move away from Chelsea to play regularly. He was linked with Bayern Munich and Manchester United. But, the both interested clubs ended the pursuit of French attacker. It is due to the asked price by Chelsea which was reported to be around €70 million.
