- The Premier League giants will hope to take advantage of Lyon’s current struggles
Olympique Lyonnais commonly known as Lyon are in major crises right now. It is due to their financial issues which may result in them being handed a relegation from the French top flight division.
This will provide other clubs with a perfect opportunity to raid Lyon and lure their top players away. The rumours and linking have already began which suggests tough few months are coming for Lyon.
Chelsea and Liverpool plotting a move for Rayan Cherki
As per Fichajes, Chelsea and Liverpool are both interested to sign the 21 year old French star. It is also reported that the both clubs are willing to offer €20 million but the French club will demand for more than that.
Cherki can be a good addition for any of the above clubs. They player is said to have a very bright future ahead of him. But sometimes he is involved in off pitch issues and lack of focus. But if the player adapts the right mentality he has potential to develop into world class player for sure.
Cherki can play on both wings but is highly effective as an attacking midfielder. He has potential to become successor of Eden Hazard at Chelsea. But, it will be very challenging as the Blues are packed in that position.
On the other hand, Cherki may get to play regularly if he joins Liverpool. The Reds are planning to replace Mohamed Salah who is in the last year of his contract. As of now, there are no news about extension and hence the club may monitor the option of going ahead without him.
