Chelsea and Liverpool suffer major blow in pursuit of Kvaratskhelia

Napoli signed the 23 years old winger two years ago. In his first season, the Georgian international helped Napoli to win the Serie A title. He scored 14 goals and picked 14 assists in 43 matches that season.

Last season he again achieved double figures in scoring as he found the back of the net 11 times 34 league games. He also toped it up with 6 assists. Khvicha has scored 4 goals and picked 2 assists in 8 league games this season. As a result, Napoli are sitting at the top of Serie A table.

Napoli are very happy with the young winger and as per Fabrizio Romano they have offered him new contract. As per the new contract, Kvaratskhelia will get a pay rise of around €5 million to €6 million. This will also increase his stay in Italy beyond 2027 and make Napoli’s position strong in keeping hold of him.

This will come as a huge blow for Chelsea and Liverpool. They may now found it very hard to lure the winger away from Napoli. The Serie A outfit will now demand more money as they will not have shortage of interest from other top clubs. It is safe to say that Napoli have secured their future and even if winger leaves, the Italian club will bag a hefty profit.
