Chelsea and Spurs plotting January move for Josh Maja
According to Fichajes, the Blues along with their london rivals Spurs are keeping tabs on Josh Maja. Both of these london club are considering to sign the 26 year old this month.
It will be easy for any of these clubs to convince Maja as playing in Premier League will be a huge step up in his career. In addition, playing at highest stage will increase his chances of playing for the Nigeria national team.
However, West Brom will also have big say in deciding the striker’s future. As of now, Maja has started in all 26 league game. It will be difficult for West Brom to find his replacement in the middle of the season. However, they might feel powerless in preventing the striker leave.
Chelsea have always been linked with strikers despite Jackson being in great form. They are keen to provide Jackson with quality backup who can compete for starting position. In addition, Nkunku who was used as backup striker by Maresca, is on the verge of joining Bayern Munich. The Blues can even opt to sign Maja on loan as they have one loan slot left.
