Chelsea and Spurs to battle for 20 year old Denmark international

Football

Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are both interested to sign 20 year old versatile star. Despite the young age, the star is already a regular player for Denmark national team. Man United are also in the mix for the signature of young talent.

The star in question here is Patrick Dorgu of Leece. The 20 year old has been the first team member since last season. He has also played 4 international matches so far and already scored his first goal for the country too.

Dorgu is highly versatile and can play anywhere on the left side. In addition, he also plays as right winger. But, he mainly plays as left back and his attacking traits have caught the attention of Man United.

The Red Devils have appointed Ruben Amorim as the head coach. The Portugese is known for using 3-4-3 formation. Dorgu can be a great fit as he can be used as left wing back.

In addition, the Red Devils are in desperate need to sign left back. Both Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have been highly injury prone. Dorgu can be long term investment but United are now joined by 2 London clubs.

Chelsea and Spurs keen to sign Dorgu

According to Daily Express, both the Blues and Spurs are showing interest in Dorgu. This increases the chances of Dorgu ending at England next year. The 20 year old will surely be tempted to move to Premier League.

The Blues do have a very good squad depth. But they do not have a proper backup for Cucurella. Often time, Reece James was used in that position as Maresca does not trust Ben Chilwell. Chilwell is linked with exit in January which will open up space.

On the other hand, defence has been the problem for Spurs this season. In addition, players like Ben Davis need proper replacement due to their age. Dorgu can be a very good long term investment.
