Chelsea board is extremely happy with the job Enzo Maresca is doing right now. This suggests that the Italian boss will be backed up the club in the summer. The Blues are on the right track and soon can reach their full potential.

Enzo Maresca took over the club in summer 2024. He arrived from Leicester City after helping them gain promotion back in the Premier League. The Italian had to face defeat in his first game as Chelsea manager but after that he had a fine campaign.

The Blues did so well and once were seen as title challengers in the league. They spent most of the time this season in top four. But, the Blues have experienced a dip in the form recently. They are currently on 6th position in the Premier League.

This was quickly followed by reports that questioned Maresca’s future at Stamford Bridge. But, Simon Johnson has reported that the West London club are very happy with the job Maresca is doing right now. The board have their faith placed in the Italian manager.

This suggests that Maresca will be backed in the summer transfer window. The club had quiet winter window which points to the busy summer window. The Italian will like to bring in new faces as per his plans and this may help Chelsea to challenge for the major titles again next season.

What to expect from Chelsea in summer window?

Firstly, a new defender will be the top priority of the West London club. As of now, they have two stars – Dean Huijsen, Marc Guehi on their radar. Later, they are also expected to bring in new keeper. Robert Sanchez is very likely to get sold but Jorgensen may stay at the club as a backup keeper.

There is also a new midfielder expected due to many players leaving the club this window. Lastly, a new winger and new striker are also in the plans. If Maresca is provided with quality options in all these departments he may bring silverware back to Stamford Bridge next season.
