Chelsea are doing really well under new boss Enzo Maresca. They have surprised everyone who were saying that the Blues will struggle with new manager. In contrast, Chelsea fans are super happy with the progress of their beloved club.

Chelsea are now on the third position in the Premier League. They are above Arsenal with 6 wins and 4 draws in 12 games resulting in 22 points. They are in strong position to secure the top 4 next season.

Petit backs Chelsea to challenge for league title this season

Emmanuel Petit has played for both Arsenal and Chelsea in his career. He is a French legend with good understanding of English football. This makes his comments way more valuable for any team or player.

“They’ve played all those games so far against top teams and they are third, only six points behind Liverpool. They played very tough games at the start of the season – Manchester City in their first game” – Petit speaking to Premier League Productions.

“I still believe when I look at the schedule, especially strating from January – they are all winnable. If they can continue until Christmas time with what they are doing, they will be a big threat in the title race” – Petit about Chelsea’s chances to win the league title this season.

As of now, Chelsea have the chance to compete for the league title. They have only 1 less point than the second positioned team currently. Only thing that can stop them from title race is their defence. The Blues should sort out that position and can expect glory days back very soon.
