Chelsea beats Manchester United:

Chelsea have beaten Manchester United to signing Geovany Quenda. He is known to be one of he best upcoming left wing backs in the world as well. Amorim were interested in signing Goevany Quenda for a while now. However, the problem is that Manchester United did not really have enough funds to sign him either. They also had to comply with the rules in the Premier League as well. If they did not comply then they would have ended up like Manchester City to be honest. There were way too many rumours about him joining Manchester United as well. The Reds were looking forward to signing Geovany Quenda during the summer transfer window.

Chelsea beats Manchester United to sign Geovany Quenda:

Geovany Quenda even wanted to join Manchester United himself according to various reports. Ruben Amorim literally wanted this player since the previous transfer window as well. However, Manchester United did not really sign him. For the next season, Geovany Quenda will stay at Sporting CP on loan. He will join Chelsea by the start of 2026. He is a really great and dynamic player as well. He will be able to help Chelsea a lot too. This is why he joined them. He would have been great for Ruben Amorim as well. However, the problem is that, Manchester United did not get the upper hand over Chelsea and was not able to sign Geovany Quenda.

Author’s Opinion

I think this was a bad miss for the Reds. Geovany Quenda is a really great player. Ruben Amorim would have got a lot of helped if he joined them to be honest. Manchester United does have a few wing back problems. However, they do have Patrick Dorgu and Diego Leon for emergency cases too.
