Chelsea boss confirms his plans for one position in particular

Chelsea had a very quiet January window. They made only 1 new signing and that too is for future. This hints that a busy summer transfer is awaiting and Enzo Maresca has already hinted about one position.

The Blues signed Amougou this January but will send him on loan in summer. They will keep him at their sister club Strasbourg until he improves. Later, he will be brought back to play for the first team. They want to develop him as holding midfielder.

Chelsea will definately have a very busy summer transfer window. They will sign in almost all positions of the pitch. Their top priority will be defender for which they have sight on Marc Guehi. In addition, they are also keeping tabs on Dean Huijsen.

Chelsea also want to sign midfielders as current player have either left or will get sold in summer. In addition, the club is also set to welcome a new striker along with a winger. Lastly, there is another position which needs urgent attention.

The Blues have improved a lot under Enzo Maresca bug have failed to capitalize on their good form. Recently, they had dip in form which resulted in them dropping some keg points. The main issue which is clearly spotted is their goalkeeper.

Robert Sanchez is main keeper for Chelsea but he has not been able to perform well. In addition, Filip Jorgensen is too young and hence he can’t step up on regular basis. This has made new keeper a top priority for the club.

As per Daily Express, Enzo Maresca wants a new keeper this summer. The Italian coach will surely want a quality shot stopper in order to win major titles. He is expected to be fully backed by Chelsea board.

Earlier Chelsea were linked with Diogo Costa of FC Porto. He can be a great addition but will cost a hefty transfer fee. The Blues may part ways with Robert Sanchez. However, Jorgensen is very likely to be kept for longer due to his age.
