Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca made his intentions clear about Christopher Nkunku who has been heavily linked with exit. The 27 year old is believed to join Bayern Munich this month.
Nkunku joined the Blues in summer 2023 but was unfortunate in his first season. He face constant injuries which resulted in him sitting on bench for long time. The 27 year old was able to make a superb comeback this season.
Nkunku has been fit and looking in very good shape. He has scored regularly but still has not been able to claim his place as regular starter. He is being used as backup for in-form striker Nicolas Jackson.
Enzo Maresca provides key hint about Nkunku’s future
Nkunku wants to leave Chelsea this month and Florian Plettenberg reported that he is keen to join Bayern. He has already agreed personal terms with the German giants. The Blues are demanding around €70 million to part ways with 27 year old.
Last night, Nkunku was in the squad for Premier League game. However he was not in starting lineup. In addition, Maresca opted to not let the 27 year old have some minutes as a substitute. This suggests that the Italian has already scrapped Nkunku from his plans.
Other departing Chelsea stars
Along with Nkunku, there are many other stars who are keen to move away from Chelsea this month. Firstly, it is their summer signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall who is looked upon by Premier League clubs. Second on the list is Cesare Casadei who is linked with return to Italy.
Later, one more midfielder – Carney Chukwuemeka is also linked with exit. The Blues are also planning to part ways with defenders – Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi. Lastly, Renato Veiga is keen to move away on loan for 6 months to play regularly.
