Chelsea boss opens up about injuries & transfers

Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has opened up about various situations at the club. He has spoke highly about current players along with providing key details about transfers and injuries.

The Blues are actively linked with many players in the current window. They are said to make new signings in the midfield and attacking department. Enzo Maresca has now opened up about new signings at the club.

Chelsea to go after new midfielder this month?

Firstly, Maresca said that Enzo Fernandez could be available to play agains Man City. However, Lavia will need few more weeks to return. Later, Maresca was asked if the Blues will recall Andrey Santos or Ugochukwu from loan.

“The intention is to not go for a midfielder. We’ve got enough players in midfield to cover, Moises, Enzo and Kiernan” – Maresca about midfield situation.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Blues never made contact to sign Reda Belahyane. But, he added that they were involved in Douglas Luiz. As of now, it seems like the Blues may keep Dewsbury-Hall until the end of the season.

Enzo Maresca about attacking signings

Firstly, Maresca said who he prefers on each wing. He said that Neto and Madueke played on right side whereas Sancho and Mudryk player on left. Mudryk is currently suspended which has caused the clubs to go after left sided wingers.

However, Maresca said that he is happy with the current wingers. Despite this comments, Chelsea are very heavily linked with Garnacho in the recent days. They have even submitted an official bid to sign him this month.

Lastly, Maresca opened up about the attacking midfielder situation at West London. He said that usually managers play with 1 attacking midfielder and for them it is Cole Palmer. This causes Joao Felix and Nkunku to struggle for minutes.

Maresca shows his faith in Robert Sanchez

Enzo Maresca was asked about their main keeper Robert Sanchez who seems to be having a tough season. He has been linked with exit but the Chelsea boss is full of support for him.

“I fully trust Robert Sanchez. How many times has Caicedo missed a pass? How many times had Nico missed a goal? Many times. How many times has Noni missed a cross? Many time. Robert has made four mistakes” – Maresca backing Sanchez.
