Chelsea are confident to resign their former defender this summer. The player has established himself as one of the best defenders in Premier League right now. Signing him will make the Blues very strong in the backline.

Chelsea are headed for a busy summer transfer window. They have already started making moves in the market. The West London club have already signed two players from Sporting and are now focused on other areas. The top priority of the club is to improve their defence.

The Blues are set to part ways with Trevoh Chalobah and Axel Disasi. In addition, they can also opt to sell Badiashile if a suitable offer arises. Lastly, the club is worried due to the injury issues of Fofana and hence are keen to sign atleast 2 defenders.

Chelsea confident to sign Marc Guehi

The Blues have their former player Marc Guehi as the top target. He is also looked upon by Liverpool who are set to lose Virgil van Dijk as free agent. But, GiveMeSport have reported that Chelsea are confident to land Marc Guehi this summer.

Guehi has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League. Ever since moving away from Stamford Bridge, he has continuously impressed. At 24 years of age, he is the regular starter for the England national team.

Crystal Palace are very happy with Guehi but are set to lose him. The player will enter the final year of his contract this summer. He had not extended as he wants to join a top club. Hence, Palace will try to sell him incase to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Liverpool are expected to provide a strong competition to Chelsea. But, the Blues have slight advantage in the pursuit. They have sell-on clause in Guehi’s current contract which will allow them to sign him on lower fee as compared to the Reds.
