One Chelsea young superstar is heavily linked with exit this summer. The Blues may sanction his sale if they receive €33 million from any interested party.
The star in question here is Renato Veiga who joined the Blues in summer 2024. He is 21 years old and mainly plays as centre-back. Veiga also plays in plenty other position but was made left-back by Enzo Maresca at West London.
Veiga was not the regular starter and hence he struggled for minutes. This caused him to move away from the club on loan this January. The 21 year old has joined Juventus until the end of the season. There is no buy option at the end of the season in current contract.
Veiga can be open to move away permanently in summer. He will surely not be first choice centre back at Stamford Bridge. In addition, he will also find it hard to replace Marc Cucurella from the left-back spot. Hence, he may struggle to play regularly once again.
Veiga played only 18 games in all competitions for Chelsea. Out of those, only 7 were in Premier League. In addition, he only started 1 of those 7 which makes only 177 minutes in league. At Juventus, the 21 year old is starting regularly as centre-back.
Chelsea to demand €33 million for Renato Veiga
According to Tutto Mercato Web, the Blues may sanction Veiga’s sale if they receive around €33 million. They signed him in summer for €15 million and hence it will be a very good sale in financial books of Chelsea. It means they doubled their investement in just a year.
The Blues are set to part ways with some more defenders in summer. They want to sale Chalobah and Disasi. In addition, they may also opt to cash-in on Benoit Badiashile. Lastly, these departures will be followed by some big name additions.
