Chelsea are determined to beat Real Madrid in the race for young defender. The player is very highly rated and is likely to move away from his current club this summer.

Chelsea have defensive signings as their top priority this summer. They are linked with many top defenders from across whole world. Their top targets from England are Marc Guehi and Dean Huijsen. But, the Blues are facing heavy competition for both of these defenders.

Firstly, Guehi is looked upon by Liverpool who are planning to find a perfect replacement for Virgil van Dijk. On the other hand, Dean Huijsen is heavily linked with Real Madrid who too have defensive signings as the top priority of the club.

According to Cadena SER, Madrid have been keeping tabs on Huijsen since the past two years. In addition, the player’s father is close friend of legendary Madrid player Clerance Seedorf who has good relation with the Spanish giants.

However, Chelsea are unwilling to give up. Instead they are determined to beat Madrid in the race. The West London club are prepared to trigger the player’s release clause. In addition, they are prepared to pay Huijsen more wages than Madrid.

The final decision will come to Huijsen who recently made his international debut for Spain. He was very excited when asked about being linked to Real Madrid. The 19 year old said that Sergio Ramos was his idol while growing up.

Huijsen has played 27 games for Bournemouth this season. He has been their first-choice defender and has played well both defensively and offensively. The 19 year old has so far scored 2 goals. The Cherries are very happy with him but will have to part ways with him if any club decides to trigger his £50 million release clause that will get activated in summer.
