Chelsea ‘end’ their pursuit of Nigerian striker

Chelsea have now ended their pursuit of Nigerian striker. They were linked with the player since a very long time. But, the Blues have now stopped to go after the striker giving their Premier League rivals lead in the race.

Chelsea are keen to sign another striker this summer. Enzo Maresca is not fully impressed with the current squad. Along with striker, the Blues are also said to bring in a new winger to complete their attacking unit. They are already linked with many names across whole Europe.

Chelsea end their pursuit of Nigerian striker

One of the strikers linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is Victor Osimhen. The Blues tried to sign him last summer. They were involved in talks to land him until the very last hour of deadline day. But, the deal failed as agreement about transfer fee and wages was not met.

Chelsea were unwilling to give up on Osimhen. But, Caught Offside have now reported that the Blues have now stopped their pursuit if Nigerian striker. This will now come as a major boost for Man United. In addition, Italian giants Juventus will also view this as good news.

Osimhen has already fallen out-of-favour at Napoli. He will surely be sold this summer. Man United are in need of a new striker and hence may step-up their process. They are said to sell both Hojlund and Zirkzee to make way for new striker.

On the other hand, Juventus are set to lose Dusan Vlahovic. They are likely to sell him as he will enter the final year of his contract. But, both United and Juve are set to miss out on UCL football. This may make their pursuit hard for the Nigerian striker. It will be interesting to see which jersey will Osimhen wear next season.
