Madueke has already scored 5 goals this season in 14 matches. But he has scored those 5 goals in just 3 games. That means the Englishman has failed to make a difference in the rest 11 games.
Madueke has been a regular starter for Maresca so far. He has started in 11 Premier League games and hence has benched other big names like Jadon Sancho, Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk.

Some Chelsea fans said that Maresca needs to drop Madueke permanently. Others questioned his ability and deemed him not best to start the games. Lastly, some even called him selfish which is a little way to harsh. Just a few weeks ago, Madueke was trolled for his on pitch behavior too.
If we look at the stats Madueke produced, he seems to have a decent performance. The winger had 81% passing accuracy, 67% shooting accuracy, 100% accurate long balls, 100% tackling accuracy and 50% dribble success. All stats are as per FOTMOB.
But the problem for Madueke is the heavy competition at the club. Chelsea have better options than the 22 year old right now. The best option is Pedro Neto who is in superb form. Maresca will have a very tough decision to make in the upcoming fixtures.
