Chelsea FC to land world-class attacker in 2025

Chelsea had another great transfer window this summer. They signed total 13 players and also parted ways with some exisiting stars. But, they fell short to sign their top target despite trying until the last minute. The star in discussion is Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. As per the latest reports, Chelsea FC are trying to sign Osimhen in 2025.

The Premier League giants tried very hard this summer to sign Osimhen. They were linked with the striker until the last minute of the deadline day. But the deal never happened and as a result Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan. But Chelsea don’t seem to have given up upon him as they have now made contact with the striker’s camp.

Chelsea FC once again in talks with Victor Osimhen

The Blues still want to sign Osimhen despite getting good results from their current strikers. As per TEAMtalk, they have now reopened the talks with Osimhen’s camp. Chelsea want to land the Nigerian striker in 2025. The Blues will receive competition from Juventus who are in search of a clinical striker.

Enzo Maresca has said again and again that he trusts Nicolas Jackson. Last week he also said that he has two more options (Christopher Nkunku and Marc Guiu) and was seen placing trust in all three player.

But, the Chelsea board is big fan of Victor Osimhen who is already a world class striker. Osimhen has scored 76 goals in 133 matches for Napoli which shows his quality as the number nine. He has also been able to find the back of the net 22 times in 30 matches while playing for Nigeria.

Is Osimhen a necessity?

Anyone who knows the depth of current Chelsea squad may suggest that Osimhen is not required at the club right now. He is a world class striker but The Blues do have an amazing squad right now. In addition they are delivering on regular basis and are looking sharp under Enzo Maresca.

Nicolas Jackson is looking very sharp this season. He has been able to score 4 goals and provide 2 assists in 5 Premier League fixtures.

Nkunku usually comes on from the bench and plays as a striker. He also plays on wing or as an attacking midfielder. He has been able to 6 goals in 8 matches across all competitions.
