Chelsea in fierce battle with Man United to sign 21 year old star

Temporary Unemployed Football Agents

Chelsea could be involved in fierce battle with Manchester United in this summer transfer window. Both clubs are keen to land 21 year old star having a superb season away from England.

The star in question here is Ousmane Diomande of Sporting CP. The 21 year old joined the Portugese club in January 2023 and is now their regular starter. He has so far player 86 matches for Sporting and has done a superb job.

Diomande is said to have a very bright future ahead of him. He is tipped to move to a bigger club very soon and as of now, Premier League seems his next possible destination. He is looked upon by multiple clubs out of which two are set to battle each other out.

Chelsea and United both keen to sign Diomande

According to TEAMtalk, both Chelsea and Man United are keen to sign Diomande in this summer window. The 21 year old has €80 million release clause which Sporting hope to be paid fully. They are in strong position in negotiation considering the age and contract duration of Diomande.

The Blues are very likely to spend big on defenders this summer. Their priority is Marc Guehi but at the same time they are keen to sign some young defenders. Earlier, they had bid rejected by Nottingham Forest for Murillo.

Diomande fits perfectly in Chelsea’s system. He is 21 years old and has his whole career ahead of him. He can be looked upon as long-term investment and hence the Blues can agree to spend big on him like they always do.

On the other hand, there will be a huge shakeup at Old Trafford in summer. Many of the current stars are set to leave. This will be followed by arrival of new stars and Diomande is on that list. His former manager Ruben Amorim can pave a perfect path for him to reach Old Trafford.
