- Chelsea have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Alexander Isak
- The 25 year old is ready to leave Newcastle United next year
- The Magpies are demanding around £115 million for the striker
Chelsea and Arsenal both wanted to sign striker this summer. Gunners were keen to sign Sesko whereas the Blues tried really hard to sign Osimhen. But, the both clubs failed to land their respective targets.
Gunners failed to sign Sesko as he signed a contract extension with RB Leipzig. On the other hand, the Blues failed to agree on a suitable price with Napoli for Osimhen. The Nigerian then joined Galatasaray on loan.
Now both london clubs are back in market to sign a striker. Gunners are plotting to make a move for Newcastle United star Alexander Isak. The Sweedish has already proved himself in Premier League.
Isak is not happy with Newcastle United due to not qualifying for UCL regularly. He is open to move away next year and has even had a contract issue with Magpies eariler. Arsenal seemed his next destination but now they will face competition from their london rivals.
Chelsea join Arsenal in the pursuit of Isak
As per TEAMtalk, the Blues have joined the race to sign the Newcastle United striker. Isak will surely be an upgrade on Nicolas Jackson who too is having a very good season right now.
As of now, Arsenal’s need of clinical striker is far bigger than that of Chelsea. Hence, the Gunners will not approach the race for 25 year old in shy manner. They will compete with Chelsea with an intent of beating them in the race.
The Magpies still view Isak as a verg important player in their squad. They will try and do it all to make the striker stay with them. If the striker still wants out, Newcastle are reported to demand atleast £115 million for their star-striker.
