Chelsea keen to improve 1 position in last days of window

Chelsea are keen to improve one position in particular. They are very active in the market which will close in next 2 days.

The January transfer window is rapidly approaching towards exit. The market will close on 3rd February and hence the activity has spiked up. However, there has been no activity from Chelsea regarding incomings. On the other hand, there has been limited activity in terms of outgoings.

The Blues wanted to sign a defender this window but have found it very hard. As a result, they have recalled Trevoh Chalobah back from loan. They are also showing interest in signing attacking players but that is proving hard too.

The Blues wanted to sign a winger and tried hard for Mathys Tel. But, the 19 year old showed hesitation to join Chelsea and hence the club has ended his pursuit. Now, they may also miss out on their other target Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea still in market to sign new midfielders

Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Blues are still in the market to sign new midfielder. He added that the board is working hard to find perfect solution in the finals days of window. Hence, we may still see some new face in Chelsea squad.

As of now, the Blues have agreed the deal for Casadei. The Italian star will join Lazio whereas his partner Chukwuemeka is still to find a new club. Lastly, Dewsbury-Hall also wants to leave due to lack of playing time. Due to these exits, there has been opening in the middle of the park.

Earlier, the Blues were showing interest in Douglas Luiz for a loan move until the end of the season. In addition, they were also looking at Carlos Baleba and Georginio Rutter. But, Brighton are unwill to part ways with any of these two midfielders.
