Chelsea are keen to re-sign their academy graduate this summer. They sold him as a youngster but he is now one of the best players in his position. He is also a regular starter for his country.
The star in question here is Marc Guehi who plays for Crystal Palace. He joined Palace from Chelsea in 2021 and has played 141 games so far for them. Guehi has developed into one of the best defenders in Premier League right now.
Guehi is Palace captain and also starts regularly for England national team. He played in all matches for his country in the Euro 2024 campaign. He is only 24 years old and will enter the peak of his career. But, Palace will not be able to keep him in his prime years.
Guehi will enter the last year of his contract this summer. He has opted against signing contract extension. Hence, Palace will sell him in summer to avoid losing him for free next summer. The 24 year old has been looked upon by multiple top clubs.

John Cross has reported that Chelsea are determined to sign Guehi this summer. The Blues also have sell-on clause in Guehi’s contract and it will allow them to sign him on lower price than other clubs. But, Guehi will also have his say about the deal.
Chelsea are surely going to sign atleast 2 defenders. They are set to part ways with Chalobah and Disasi. In addition, Badiashile can also be sold if a suitable offer pops up. This will require the addition of new and quality defenders.
Along with Guehi, Chelsea have many other names linked with them. Earlier, they were showing interest in Tomas Araujo but that talks have cooled right now. There are reports that the Blues want to sign Dean Huijsen who can cost £50 million.
