- Chelsea are interested to sign Brighton striker Evan Ferguson
- The 20 year old could cost a hefty amount of £100 million
- The striker has been out of form this season and hence the Blues may rethink their decision
Chelsea are always making the headlines in the transfer market. They are always keen to sign young players and are not shy to spend big money on them. As of now, they have already started preparations for next year.
The Blues are now being linked with Evan Ferguson. Ferguson plays for Brighton and Hove Albion and has made a big name for himself. He is only 20 years old but starts regularly for the Premier League side.
Ferguson has been highly rated but has recently witnessed a dip in his form. This season the 20 year old has only been able to score a single goal in 9 matches across all competitions. His form is concerning but the Blues are still keen to sign him.
Should Chelsea sign Evan Ferguson?
As per TEAMtalk, Brighton will demand around £100 million for Ferguson. To be frank, the striker currently does not seem to justify that amount of money. The Blues do have other quality options available and hence should rethink their decision.
Chelsea will view Ferguson as a long term solution but the amount still seems a little too much. They can try to sign Liam Delap instead or stay happy with available option Nicolas Jackson. Jackson is only 3 years old than Ferguson and is far beter than him right now.
If the Blues want to spend around £100 million they should go for other options. They have Victor Osimhen, Viktor Gyokeres and Alexander Isak who can upgrade their attack as they have already proved themself at the highest level and hence justify that much amount of money.
