Chelsea to go all out to sign Nigerian

Chelsea are leading Real Madrid in the race for Spanish defender. The player is very young and already impressing in Premier League.

Chelsea are set to sign some top defenders this summer. Enzo Maresca wants new signings in all parts of the pitch but the Blues have defensive signings as top priority. They are set to sign atleast 2 defenders and already have some names on their radar.

On the other hand, Real Madrid are also set to sign new defender this summer. They were heavily linked with William Saliba. But, the Frenchman is unlikely to move away from Arsenal anytime soon. Hence, they will now explore other options available in the market.

Both Madrid and Chelsea have Dean Huijsen as the common target this summer. According to Diario AS, the Blues are currently leading the Spanish giants in the race. Los Blancos are unwilling to trigger £50 million release clause of Huijsen this summer.

Huijsen has turned only 20 years old this month. He has proved himself in Premier League this summer. In addition, he has recently made his debut for Spain national team. Bournemouth have him tied with a contract running until 2030. Hence, they will surely want his £50 million release clause to be paid fully.

Along with Huijsen, the Blues are also willing to bring back Marc Guehi. The Englishman is now one of the best defenders in the Premier League. He will enter the final year of his contract this summer. Hence, Crystal Palace will like to sell him in order to avoid losing him for free next summer.

Both Huijsen and Guehi will cost Chelsea a hefty sum of money. Hence, they will need to part ways with some current players in order to raise funds. As of now, both Chalobah and Disasi are set to get sold. In addition, the Blues may also part ways with Badiashile and Veiga.
