Chelsea loan plans: Details about recalls

There are many Chelsea players currently away from Stamford Bridge on loan. The transfer window is open and the West London club can recall some of their stars. Here are some key updates about recall situation.

The Blues are doing really well under new manager Enzo Maresca. When he came, the West London club had a very high squad number. The Italian took some bold decisions and sent many stars away from the club.

Some players left permanently whereas others were sent on loan. The Blues now have chance to recall some of the loaned players. They have already recalled Aaron Anselmino and now here are the updates about their further plans.

Chelsea loan situation: Updates about Chalobah and Gilchrist

Enzo Maresca recently held press conference ahead of their Premier League fixture. He said that the door is open for loan recalls this month. This statement was then followed by rumours of Chalobah and Gilchrist being recalled.

However, Kieran Gill has reported that the Blues will not be able to recall Trevoh Chalobah this month. The 25 year old does not have a break clause in his contract. He will also be unable to play against Chelsea today.

Similarly, the Blues have no plans to recall Alfie Gilchrist this month. There are other clubs showing interest in him but the West London club wants the player to continue at Sheffield United until the end of the season.

Chalobah has played 14 matches for Palace this season. He has been able to score 3 times and has impressed everyone with his top performances. The Blues are currently in need of defenders and not being able to recall Chalobah will be a big regret for them.

On the other hand, Gilchrist has played 25 matches this season for Sheffield. He has assisted 2 times and is having a decent season. He is 21 years old and is Chelsea’s academy talents. The Blues can bag big profit by selling him in summer.
