Chelsea makes an important decision for their Brazilian wonderkid

Chelsea has made the decision not to loan out Estevao Willian when he joins the team in the 2025-2026 season.

The Blues acquired the Brazilian from Palmeiras in June 2024. There were many clubs who kept their eyes on Estevao but Chelsea made a deal with Palmeiras. The English club signed the player for 51 million euros.

Two youngsters from Palmeiras have been signed by two footballing giants. Estevao to Chelsea and Endrick to Real Madrid who had a similar deal as Willian. Endrick has already made his debut with Madrid joining a star-studded squad. Endrick will be joining the likes of Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe.

Estevao will only head to Stamford Bridge in 2025. The Brazilian rules state that the player will only leave when he is 18. The 17-year-old will continue to play for Palmeiras this season and make his move to England next season.

The youngster has been given the name ‘Messinho’ for his impressive dribbling skills. At such a young age, Estevao has already won two caps for Brazil. His statistics at Palmeiras this year have also been good with 15 goals and ten assists in 41 appearances in his first league season.

No plans to release the Wonderkid

Several reports and speculations stated that Estevao Willian will be loaned out by Chelsea before he makes his debut for the club. These speculations were recently debunked by the club.

According to the reports of Givemesport, Chelsea has no plans to release the Brazilian on loan to another club. It was first thought that at such a young age Estevao would play for another club. Willian’s current form the Brazilian club however has changed the minds at the Chelsea camp.
