Chelsea make Real Madrid star their top target for summer window

Chelsea have been linked with highly experienced Real Madrid star. As per the latest reports, they have made him their top target this summer. But, Los Blancos can make the transfer very hard for the Blues.

Chelsea are set for a big summer transfer window. They are likely to sign new players in almost all parts of pitch. But, this time they will focus on defensive signings as the top priority. They are set for a major defensive rebuild where many current players will leave the club.

Firstly, they are likely to part ways with Chalobah, Disasi and Veiga. In addition, they will sell Badiashile if a right offer arises. Lastly, they are worried due to injury issues of Fofana. The French superstar is linked with both loan and permanent move away from Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca wants to sign a proven defender this summer. This does not fit in plans of the Blues but it is what the club needs right now. The defensive unit has been lacking leadership ever since Thiago Silva departed. Hence, they are showing interest in Real Madrid star.

Chelsea willing to sign world-class Real Madrid star

The star in question here is Antonio Rudiger who played for Chelsea before joining Real Madrid. Los Blancos signed him for free which still haunts the Blues. According to Fichajes, the West London giants are willing to resign Rudiger this summer to improve their defence. They have made the German defender their top target this summer.

Real Madrid rate Rudiger very highly and will hesitate to sell him. But, the German has been involved in lot of unwanted issues off the pitch. In addition, he is now 32 years old due to which Los Blancos may opt to cash-in on him.

Rudiger will be a key addition to the Chelsea side this summer. He will come as an upgrade on any of the current Blues defender. In addition, he has proved himself in Premier League due to which he can make an instant impact on the West London side.
