Chelsea have recalled Trevoh Chalobah from loan. This has now opened by exit door for 26 year old star who is being looked upon by Italian giants.
Chalobah joined Crystal Palace on loan in summer. However, the Blues had an recall option in his contract. They have now triggered that option to end the 25 year old’s loan. It is reported that Chelsea’s co-sporting director Paul Winstanley personally called Chalobah.
Chalobah is expected to play major role for the Blues in the second half of the season. However, he will still leave the club in summer permanently. This is just in the best interest of both Chelsea and Chalobah for 6 months duration.
Chalobah’s return suggests that the Blues will not sign Marc Guehi this month. The Palace captain will switch sides in summer as Palace too will now hesitate to part ways with two defenders in the same window. In addition, Chalobah’s return has now opened exit doors for one Blues star.
Chelsea to part ways with 26 year old defender
According to Ben Jacobs, Axel Disasi can depart from Stamford Bridge after the arrival of Chalobah. The 26 year old is heavily linked with Juventus and the Blues are also keen to part ways with him.
Disasi joined the Blues in 2023 and played regularly in his first season at West London. However, he is way behind in Enzo Maresca’s plans and has played only 16 games this season. In addition, only 5 of those appearances are from Premier League.
Disasi has only played recently due to the injury to Fofana and Badiashile. Otherwise, the 26 year old is way behind in pecking order. The Blues are willing to part ways with Disasi which will open up space for new players, help the club in gathering money for new players and lastly help them to comply with PSR.
