Chelsea News: Decision made about summer signing’s future

Chelsea have taken key decision about the future of one summer signing. The star has been topic of move away from West London in January.

The star in question here is Joao Felix who joined the Blues in summer. The West London club paid £43 million to sign him from Atletico Madrid. Felix has played really well so far.

But, the Portugese is not the first choice player. He has played 10 Premier League games this season but has only started in 3 of those. As of now, players like Pedro Neto, Madueke, Sancho and Palmer are all above him in pecking order.

This has resulted in generation of rumours linking Felix with away move in January. This raised the eyebrows of Chelsea fans. Now, the club has taken an important decision about the future of 25 year old.

Chelsea take important decision about Felix

According to GiveMeSport, the Blues have decided that Felix will not leave in January. This is a very good news for both the player and the fans who love to witness more from the Portugese.

Felix has been used as both left winger and attacking midfielder by Maresca. The 25 year old has responded very well on both positions. He has so far registerd 5 goals and 2 assists and has more to offer than just stats.

Felix will hope to stay at single club for long time as he has experienced many changes in the recent seasons. This is his second spell with the Blues. His first spell was not that effective which lead to Chelsea not signing him on permanent move.

The Blues are set to loose some key players in January. Some are not happy with the club due to lack of game time whereas some are not fit in Maresca’s plans. Lastly, the club also needs to focus on PSR and hence away moves makes a lot of sense.
