Omari Kellyman and Christopher Nkunku are both linked with moves away from Chelsea this month. Here are the latest updates about those situations.
Omari Kellyman to move away from Chelsea?
Omari Kellyman joined the Blues in the summer from Aston Villa. The West London club paid £19 million to sign the young striker who had already made his senior debut with Villa last season. This season, he is playing at Chelsea academy and has scored 2 goals in 3 games.
The Blues are planning to send Kellyman on loan until the end of the season. However, BBC have reported that the 19 year old is unlikely to get a loan move away from Stamford Bridge. Kellyman has suffered a serious hamstring injury. He is focusing on the recover process and has already informed the Blues about this.
Can Christopher Nkunku still move away from Stamford Bridge?
Nkunku has been forcing an exit from Chelsea this month. He is unhappy with his role under Enzo Maresca. The 27 year old is not the Italian coach’s preferred starter. In addition, he is even playing Nkunku as striker despite it not being his favoured position.
Nkunku has agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich. But, the Blues want around €70 million which is making the deal very hard for Bayern. In addition, they even offered a swap deal between Nkunku and Mathys Tel.
However, Mathys Tel is not interested to leave Bayern. He has rejected a move to West London despite not getting anh minutes in his last 3 games. The player can still change his mind but the deadline day is rapidly approaching.
Nkunku also has interest from Man United who can lose their current attacker Alejandro Garnacho. Nkunku can be a like-for-like replacement and the 27 year old is also open to join the Red Devils.
On the other hand, Garnacho is being looked upon by Chelsea. Both Garnacho and Nkunku are valued in the same area by their respective clubs and hence we may also see a direct swap deal.
