Chelsea open to sale Palmer under one condition

Cole Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City for around £45 million. He was considered as a surplus to the City squad and hence was sent away from Manchester. But, City are now regretting their decision as Palmer is reaching new heights constantly at London. Hence, City are now keen to bring him back for future.

The Blues are very happy with Palmer and the 22 year old is considered as main man. He has transformed into one of the best players across whole Europe. Palmer scored 25 goals and assisted 15 more last season across all competitions.

This season, Palmer has once again started on high note. He has scored 6 goals and recorded 5 assists in just 9 matches. This has caught attention of many top clubs and Man City are amongst the ones interested. City may view Palmer as potential replacement to Kevin De Bruyne who might leave next year.

Chelsea take a firm stance about Cole Palmer

According to Football Insider, Chelsea will only consider selling Palmer if they receive a world-record bid. Neymar holds the current record when he joined PSG back in time. PSG paid around £200 million to sign the Brazilian. It means, City may have to spend more than £200 million if they want Palmer to rejoin them.

Palmer has signed a contract extension with Chelsea recently. The new contract keeps him at the club until 2023 and this means The Blues have a big say in deciding the player’s future.

Palmer too seems really happy at Chelsea and is setting new records. Palmer is nominated for the Ballon D’Or this year. He has emerged as an important star for both his club and country.

In addition, Palmer always performs well on the highest level and it can be seen from the impact he brought in Euro 2024. It is clear why Chelsea want a world-record fee and why they are desperate to keep him at the club.
