Chelsea planning to hijack Juve’s plans of signing in-form striker

Chelsea are planning to hijack plans of Juventus who are dreaming of signing Jonathan David. The Lille striker is in red hot form and is set to become a free agent very soon.

David has started this season on a very high note. He has scored 12 goals along with picking 2 assists in opening 18 games for Lille. The Canadian striker has scored goals against Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Juventus to display his top quality.

David is in the final year of his current contract and is very likely to leave Lille for free. He is only 24 years old and hence is looked upon by many top clubs. Juventus are most heavily linked with Canadian striker but now, Chelsea can hamper their plans.

Chelsea can snatch David away from Juventus

According to CalcioMercato, Juve are very close to sign Jonathan David for free. Their sporting director is involved in talks with the player’s agent. Juve boss Thiago Motta also likes the player and will appreciate signing a player of David’s quality for free.

While the talks are reported to be progressing well, the report have another thing to add. It is that Chelsea are also keen to sign David. The Blues were already linked with David last summer but they deal failed. Now, they have another chance and that too for free next summer.

David may be tempted to join Chelsea as he always dreamt of playing in the Premier League. The Blues who are very likely to sign another striker despite the great form from Nicolas Jackson, will view this deal far more profitable than going after Victor Osimhen who will cost huge money.

Lastly, we may see more clubs joining soon for David who is surely one of the best strikers in the world right now. David will have his say and choose the best club for his future endeavours.
