Chelsea are plotting bids in order to land 2 young Spanish players in the upcoming transfer window. It is reported that it will cost around £99 million for the Blues to land both stars.
The Blues had a very quiet January transfer window in terms of incomings. But, it was exactly opposite in terms of outgoings. Many stars left the club either on loan or permanently. In addition, the number of exits is likely to increase further in summer.
Chelsea will like to replace the leaving stars as soon as possible. As a result, many new faces can be seen making a move to Stamford Bridge this summer. It is said that the Blues will try to improve all parts of the pitch.
Firstly, a new keeper is very likely to join and the same is the case for midfielder. In addition, Enzo Maresca has made defender signing a top priority whereas it is clear that a new winger is also a priority. The Blues have two Spanish stars – a winger and a defender on their radar.
Chelsea to spend £99 million to land Spanish duo
According to TEAMtalk, the Blues are showing interest to sign Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth and Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. They are considering to launch bids to land these young talents. It can cost around £99 million to sign both players.
Nico Williams has £49 million release clause in his contract. Athletic club will want this clause to be paid fully due to the age and demand of Williams. On the other hand, Huijsen has £50 million release clause that will be activated from the coming summer.
Bournemouth are unwilling to part ways with Huijsen just yet. They only signed him in summer 2024. The Cherries are willing to offer him new contract and increase his release clause. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea are able to convince him before summer.
