Chelsea are plotting a move for 19 year old striker. The striker is having a very good season and is looked upon by two more Premier League clubs.
The star in question here is Conrad Harder who currently plays for Sporting CP. The 19 year old joined the Portugese giants in summer from Nordsjælland. He mainly plays as striker but is also compatible as a left winger.
Harder has played 22 games this season for Sporting. He has scored 7 goals and has also picked 2 assists in the process. He is yet to make his international debut for Denmark national team but has played for them in various youth stages.
Chelsea plotting a move for Conrad Harder
According to TBR Football, the Blues are considering to sign Conrad Harder. They are plotting a move of around £42 million for the Danish prodigy. Lastly, West Ham and Arsenal are also showing interest in the 19 year old.
Chelsea are known for signing young and less known players. Harder fits perfectly in their recruitment system. He is expected to get better with time and join a top club very soon. However, Sporting will have a huge say in his future.
The Portugese club has signed the player only 6 months ago. He is tied to them with a contract running until 2029. In addition, he has a €80 million release clause which Sporting will demand to be paid fully.
Chelsea are surely planning to add another striker to their squad. Nicolas Jackson is doing great at the moment but the Blues want to sign another striker who can compete with him for the starting position. In addition, Nkunku who is current backup for Jackson is very heavily linked with exit. Harder can be a good long term investment and convincing him will not be hard as playing in Premier League will be a big step up in his career.
