As per The Daily Mail, the Blues are keeping tabs on Ilya Zabarnyi and Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth. Both defenders have been very good this season and have helped the Cherries to secure 6th position in Premier League.
Zabarnyi has been main player for Bournemouth every since he joined in January 2023. He has started in all 19 Premier League games this season. The Cherries will not like to lose him mid-season and hence will reject the moves for him.
Zabarnyi is only 22 years old and hence is looked as a key asset by Cherries. They offered him new contract this summer and have tied him down until 2029. They will surely demand a hefty fee for him from any interested party.
On the other hand, Dean Huijsen has joined Bournemouth this season from Juventus. He has played 14 games this season for the club and has starter 9 of them. Lastly, he is only 19 years old and hence fits perfectly in Chelsea’s strategy of hiring young players.
