Jamie Gittens has been superb for Borussia Dortmund this season. He joined them in 2020 and since have improved very much. The 20 year old has so far played 76 games for the Dortmund’s first team.
This season is turning as a breakout season for Gittens. He has so far scored 7 goals and picked 3 assists in 18 games so far. In addition, he has proved himself in the UCL which is regarded as the highest stage in club football.
This superb form has resulted in big clubs luring around Gittens. Dortmund may also be open to sell the player for a suitable price. Earlier, they have done the same with Sancho and Bellingham and Gittens soon looks to follow the path of their countrymen.
Chelsea prepared to spend €100 million to sign Jamie Gittens
As per BILD, the Blues can keen to sign Gittens and are ready to spend €100 million to achieve his signature. Chelsea have always shown that they are not shy to spend big on someone who they think cam have a big impact on their club.
Dortmund will find this amount enough to part ways with Englishman. Gittens will feel that a move to Premier League will be a huge step up in his career. The only issue remains is that wheter the Blues are able to guarantee him regular game time or not.
Alongside Chelsea, their English rivals Liverpool are also keen to sign Gittens. They are planning to replace Mohamed Salah who has half year left on his current contract. Salah even said recently that he is close to exit due to the Reds not offering him new contract.
