Chelsea are now ready to move-on from their 24 year old star. The player has so far registered 42 goal contributions for them. He has a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge but the Blues are now planning a future without him.
Chelsea are known for signing young players. They have not been shy to spend big on players they find good fit. In addition, they have offered such players long contracts. But, this has not always produced good results.
One player who has struggled to impress at Stamford Bridge is Nicolas Jackson. He has been very inconsistent since moving to England. In the past two seasons, he has scored 30 goals and picked 12 assists in 80 games for the Blues.
Chelsea ready to move-on from Nicolas Jackson
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Chelsea no longer consider Jackson untouchable. They are planning for a future without him and hence the 24 year old can get sold. As of now, he is wanted by Serie A giants – Napoli and Juventus.
Jackson is still 24 years old and can surely bounce back. He needs more time or maybe move away from Premier League. Chelsea will bag profit on him and then spend it on another striker. They have already signed Liam Delap but the club wants another.
Chelsea have Hugo Ekitike as one of their striker targets this summer. He is 22 year old and plays for Frankfurt. The German club are in no hurry to sell him. They have made it clear that they will only sell him if any club offers €100 million.
On the other hand, the Blues also jave Joao Pedro as their target. He is 23 year old and plays for Brighton & Hove Albion. The Blues have good relationship with the Seagulls. However, Pedro will still cost a high fee with reports suggesting around €70 million.
