Chelsea receive major boost as key player returns

Chelsea have been handed a major boost as one of the key players has returned back to training from the injury. The player is favourite of Enzo Maresca and tipped to play big role this season.

The Blues have started this season on a positive note under Enzo Maresca. The Italian has taken bold decisions which would have sounded harsh at first. But, the decisions are starting to show results and Maresca is now new favourite at West London.

Maresca has preferred to use only a few players regularly. He has his list of favourites from the vast squad of the Blues. One of them is 20 year old midfielder who had tough start to his Chelsea career.

The star in question is Belgian player Romeo Lavia. Lavia joined the Blues in 2023 but played only 1 game in his debut season. He missed all the other games due to serious injury. His injury issues seem to have carried on in this season too.

Chelsea handed big boost as Lavia returns from injury

Lavia has been one of the favourite players of Enzo Maresca. He has played 10 games so far. He was even preferred about Enzo Fernandez by the Italian coach. This was followed by the Argentine getting linked with an away move in January.

Maresca spoke very highly about Lavia. He paired the Belgian with Moises Caicedo in the middle of the park. The Italian said that he prefers the physicality of Lavia and that makes him a key asset in his team.

Romeo Lavia has confirmed his return to training by positing a story on his official Instagram account. The Blues had a tough last few games. They will look to bounce back soon and Lavia has just handed the club with major boost. It will also increase pressure on Fernandez who will not want to lose his starting spot after such an extraordinary form recently.
