Chelsea Football club have recieved an offcial bid from Italian giants Napoli for the transfer of striker Romelu Lukaku.
As per the reports the offcial bid consititutes a loan offer with an obligation to buy. Napoli and their new manager Antonio Conte have wanted Romelu Lukaku from day one of the transfer window. And Chelsea see Lukaku as part of the extra lump they want to clear out. The Blues are also interested in signing unsettled Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. A swap deal is not possible because Chelsea see both deals seperately. Lukaku was also seen expressing his feelings through a social media reaction.
ANTONIO CONTE WANT LUKAKU
Napoli appointed former Chelsea and Inter boss Antonio Conte as their head coach. He has wanted Romelu Lukaku as first priority since Victor Osimhen seemed unsettled at the club. The Nigerian striker even submitted a transfer request earlier this month. With a good time spent together at Inter, Lukaku was happy at the idea of a reunion. Chelsea on the other hand having had more than 40 players in the squad has already put Lukaku on the list of outcasts. Lukaku is currently training seprately along with the other Chelsea outcasts.
Anyway a deal was difficult to agree between both clubs for Lukaku since there was a difference in valuation. But as per reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romano it was revealed that, Chelsea’s priority this week is the sale of Romelu Lukaku.
PARALLEL DEAL
Conor Gallagher completed his transfer to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid this week. Joao Felix also moved in the opposite direction to facilitate the deal to happen. Likewise in this scenario Chelsea have interest in Victor Osimhen and Napoli want Romelu Lukaku. Even though both deals are dealt seperately we can assume that if the Lukaku deal is agreed. Osimhen deal would happen. Napoli value Osimhen at more than 100 million pounds which is a lot more than Chelsea want to pay at the moment. But as per some reports. There is chance that we could see an agreement reached for a loan with buy option. As earlier said the sale of Lukaku will be dealt first.
The fact that Osimhen was absent for Napoli’s Serie A season opener against Verona add some boost to the transfer rumours. The side from Naples went down 3-0 to a Verona side who finished 13th last season. Giovanni Simeone started at strike with Victor Osimhen left out of the squad. As per Chelsea News, the club sees Osimhen as a loan option but the player would only move with an obligation. And agreeing on a fee is another matter.
THE OFFCIAL BID
As per the Sky Sports twitter handle. We can confirm the Chelsea have recieved an offcial offer from Napoli. It is a loan offer with an obligation to buy most probably at the end of the season. The fee to make the transfer permanent will be 30 million euros.
The Blues haven’t yet accepted the bit. We dont know if it is enough for Chelsea. We have to remember that this is a player Chelsea bought for a club record fee at that moment. It was around 97.5 million pounds in 2021. Selling the same player after just three years for fee less than one third of that. It is something to think for Chelsea.
In the latest turn of events saw Lukaku expressing his feelings towards Chelsea through a social media reaction. The striker liked a post which involved Rio Ferdinand saying about, how badly Chelsea treated Raheem Sterling. The Englishman was the latest addition to the list of outcasts. Busy days are ahead for Chelsea as the transfer window shuts in a week.
