Chelsea retain interest in versatile French youngster

Chelsea are keen to sign French youngster from European giants. They are planning to sign him as a replacement for Christopher Nkunku who is on the verge if exit.

Nkunku is linked with exit and is reported to have agreed personal terms to join Bayern Munich. He is unhappy with the lack of game time at West London and hence is forcing an exit. The Blues are demanding around €70 million for him.

Chelsea are keen to replace Nkunku right away by signing young attacker. They prefer to sign a right sided attacker who can play on left as well as middle when required. They already have one player on their radar and are plotting a move for him.

Chelsea plotting a move for Mathys Tel

The attacker on Chelsea’s radar is Mathys Tel of Bayern. The Blues are plotting a swap deal between Nkunku and Tel. Tel is 19 years old French attacker who can play on both wings and as a striker.

Tel has been first team player for Bayern since his move in 2022. He has so far played 81 games for Bayern and has netted 16 goals along with 6 assists. He is yet to make his international debut but has played for Franch under-21 side despite being only 19 years old.

Despite Chelsea pushing for a move, Tel is keen to stay at Bayern for long time. However, he can be open for a loan move but it will then again depend on what the Blues think about the situation.

As of now, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea are still keen to sign Mathys Tel. The Blues are in active talks but they are yet to receive any green light from the player. The 19 year old is on the bench for Bayern tonight.

Mathys Tel situation will not Nkunku’s move to Germany. Bayern are confident that they will sign the 27 year old this month. Besides Tel, the Blues are also interested to sign Yeremay Hernandez and have already sent an official proposal to sign him.
