Chelsea serious to sign in-form striker despite current club’s wish

Chelsea are serious to sign one in-form Premier League striker. They are keeping close tabs on the striker who is ready to move. However, the striker’s current club are unwilling to sell him just yet.

The Blues are still keen to add another striker to their squad. Nicolas Jackson is main striker currently at the club. He is doing fine but Chelsea still feel like they can do better with one more striker.

In addition, Nkunku is very likely to move away from Stanford Bridge. The Frenchman was being used as backup for Jackson. The West London club wants to add another striker as backup for Jackson who can compete with him for starting position.

The Blues do have Marc Guiu at the club but he is still very young. Chelsea have set eyes on many strikers across whole Europe but there is one playing already in Premier League who the West London club are big admirers of.

Chelsea want to sign 21 year old English striker

The striker in question here is Liam Delap who joined Ipswich town in summer. The 21 year old is having a superb season and has already found the back of the net 8 times this season. In addition, he has also provided 2 assists reaching the double mark in goal contributions.

Ben Jacobs has reported that Chelsea are serious about signing Delap. However, he has added that Ipswich are unwilling to part ways with the striker this month. Lastly, Jacobs said that Delap is open to a move to Stamford Bridge.

Ipswich will not want to lose their main striker in the middle of the season. They are on 18th position in league and are in relegation zone. If they get relegated, they will be left powerless in preventing Delap from joining top clubs in summer.
