Chelsea set firm price tag on heavily exit-linked star

Chelsea have set firm price tag on one of their heavily exit-linked star. They will only sanction the sale if their demands are fulfilled.

The Blues have a vast squad depth and hence there are little concerns. Firstly, many stars are sitting on the bench regularly. This has made them unhappy and hence they are willing to move away. The club is also open to part ways with some players to comply with PSR.

One of the exit-linked stars is Christopher Nkunku who joined Chelsea in 2023. His first season was injury prone which limited him to playing only 14 games. This season, the Frenchman has managed to stay fit and perform really well.

However, Nkunku is not the preferred starter for Enzo Maresca. In addition, the 27 year old has to play as striker to get game time. He is not happy with his current role and is forcing exit mid-season. The Blues have now set a firm price tag on the France international.

Chelsea set hefty price tag on Christopher Nkunku

According to Sky Sports, the Blues are demanding atleast £70 million for Nkunku. The 27 year old is heavily linked with Bayern Munich and it is reported that the German giants have already agreed personal terms with Nkunku.

Chelsea want to replace Nkunku right away and are looking for young wingers. They were keen to make Mathys Tel as a part of swap deal with Bayern. But, the 19 year old wants to stay with Bundesliga giants for long-term.

Bayern are actively looking for wingers and are confident to land Nkunku this month. The heavy price tag will be the only turn-off in the deal. Alongside Nkunku, they are also closing monitoring Jamie Gittens from their arch rivals Borussia Dortmund.

As for Chelsea, they are in talks with Man United for Alejandro Garnacho. The 20 year old fits perfectly in their current hiring criteria. However, they face competition from Italian giants Napoli.
