Chelsea set transfer fee for youngster; European giants interested

Chelsea have set transfer fee for one of their young superstars. Many clubs are showing interest and currently European giants have also joined the race.

The Blues are very likely to part ways with many of their stars this month. Some are moving away by their wish as they want to play more. Whereas, some are not fit in Enzo Maresca’s plans and hence are made available on market by the club.

One of the heavily exit linked stars is Carney Chukwuemeka. The 21 year old joined the Blues from Aston Villa in 2022. However, he has not been able to earn his spot as main star at Chelsea. He has played only 32 games for the Blues since joining them.

Chukwuemeka is way behind in pecking order right now. He has played only 5 games this season and is yet to play in any Premier League game. He is very likely to move away from West London with the club already setting his transfer fee.

Chelsea set the transfer fee for Carney Chukwuemeka

Chukwuemeka has £40 million release clause in his current contract. According to the Daily Mail, the Blues are demanding his release clause to be paid fully by any of the interested parties which may complicate the deal.

Chukwuemeka is tied to Chelsea with a contract running until 2028. This means the Blues will have a huge say about his future and the long running contract makes their stance in demanding high price more stronger.

There are manh clubs currently showing interest in the 21 year old. However, the £40 million release clause may result in some clubs losing interest in signing him. Lastly, Borussia Dortmund are amongst clubs keen to sign Chukwuemeka. However, they are hoping to sign the 21 year old on loan instead to spending big on him.
