Chelsea are showing interest in 27 year old Japanese winger. The player can be sold by his current club this summer but the transfer fee may reach as high as €80 million.
The Blues are set to have a very busy summer transfer window. There will be new additions in all parts of the pitch. A new winger is expected as Mudryk and Felix are unavailable. In addition, Nkunku may also depart this summer.
Felix is away on loan but he wants to leave permanently in summer. Chelsea want a left winger who can also play on right and middle if required. They have been linked with many players and now one Japanese winger has also been added to that list.
Chelsea showing interest in Kaoru Mitoma
The star in question here is Kaoru Mitoma who plays for Brighton & Hove Albion. The 27 year old has made name for himself in Premier League since the past 2 season. He has played 95 games for Seagulls so far and has registered 20 goals and 15 assists.
Mitoma is regular starter for both Brighton and Japan national team. He plays as left winger but can also play as left midfielder. In addition, he can also play as left wing back which makes him a key asset for every manager.
Earlier Mitoma had interest from Saudi side who were offering him big money deal. But, the 27 year old rejected the offer in order to play at highest stage. But, as per the latest reports he could be once again on move this summer.
Caught Offside have reported that Brighton can sell Mitoma this summer. The 27 year old will enter the final 2 years of his contract and the Seagulls will demand €80 million for him. The report adds that Chelsea are amongst the club showing interest in Japan international.
Mitoma can be a great addition to the West London club. He does not fit in their policy of hiring young players but is surely a quality player. In addition, he is in peak of his career and hence will be able to have instant impact.
