Chelsea slap €120 million price tag on Real Madrid target

  • Chelsea have set a €120 million price tage for Real Madrid target Enzo Fernandez
  • The Argentine is heavily linked with a move to Spanish captial
  • The 23 year old may be open to move due to lack of game time at West London

Chelsea are doing really well at the moment under Enzo Maresca. The Italian has helped the Blues to secure the third place in Premier League. In addition, Chelsea are at the top of table in UEFA Conference League.

Maresca has now sorted his regular starters. Enzo Fernandez who Chelsea signed for £107 million has lost his place from that list. It seems like Romeo Lavia has replaced the Argentine in midfield position.

Enzo Fernandez is too good to sit on bench. He will demand regular football and that too on the highest level. This may result in the player parting ways with Chelsea very soon in the future.

As of now, Chelsea still view Fernandez as a key player. But, European champions Real Madrid are interested to lure the Argentine away from Stamford Bridge. The Blues are aware of the situation and hence have set a price tag on their 23 year old asset.

Chelsea set huge price tag for Real Madrid target Enzo Fernandez

As per Fichajes, Chelsea have set €120 million price tag for Enzo Fernandez. They have already tied Fernandez with a contract running until 2032. This makes their stance very strong in negotiations.

Madrid do need to improve their midfield. Toni Kross retired this summer whereas Luka Modric too is nearing the end of his career. In addition, the reports suggest that Aurelien Tchouameni has failed to impress the club.

This is not the first time that Madrid have shown interest in Fernandez. Eariler they tried to sign him on two different occasions but fell short each time. His move to Madrid makes a lot of sence.

Firstly, the Argentine is only 23 years old which means he will be a long term solution for Madrid’s midfield. Then, he suits Madrid’s style as he control the tempo and dictate from midfield.

Madrid will surely try to negotiate for a lower price. As of now, the Blues have made their intention clear and demanded a hefty fee. Negotiations between the two clubs can happen in January itself due to the player’s desire of more game time.
